About the collection

I started taking photographs nearly 50 years ago, excited to try to capture how I saw the world on film. I am not a professional photographer, having spent my working years in construction and construction inspection. I lived most of my life in Cincinnati, Ohio, before moving to the south of France upon retirement, where I am today.

The photos are in stacks, not organized by date, place or any other criteria, just by the chance order of scanning or selecting. No titles or labels. Many of the slides and negatives in particular are far from perfect technically - out of focus, badly exposed and other faults, but modern editing tools have allowed me to improve them, even if some faults remain.

I will be adding more photos in the months to come. Let me know by email if you would like to be notified when more are added to the site. And of course, your comments are appreciated.
